SAILING

  •  What exactly do you do at Säil?

At Säil, we specialise in offering sailing trips for companies and private groups.
The cruises are individually tailored to the specific requirements of our customers.

Furthermore, with our coaching we offer the opportunity to combine sailing with diving.
Both sports require a high degree of teamwork in order to be successful together.

  • What sailing trips do you offer?

At Säil, we specialise in offering sailing trips for companies and private groups.
The cruises are individually tailored to the specific requirements of our customers.

These can be, for example

1-2 day trips on Lake Constance
7-14 day cruises worldwide - e.g. Mallorca from Palma, Greece from Athens, Sardinia & Corsica from Olbia and many more.

  • What are the booking dates and prices?

Our offers are individually tailored to the specific requirements of our customers, which is why we do not offer any standardised booking dates and prices.

Depending on how often you want to eat out or cook on board, you can always plan on spending around €150-300 per person per week on board for refuelling, shopping, harbour fees etc. According to the old sailor's custom, the skipper is always catered for by the crew.

  • How do I get to the cruise?

You must organise your own travel arrangements. We are always happy to help and can give you tips.

  • Do I need bed linen and towels?

The yacht is always booked with bed linen and a towel from us. It is best to take 1 towel with you.

  • Do we have to be able to sail beforehand?

We can take away your fears, you don't need to have any sailing experience with us. We always have a skipper with us who can operate the yacht theoretically and practically on his own.

  • Are there fixed sailing routes?

We organise our sailing trips flexibly and are completely free in the planning of the trip. As a rule, the rough route is discussed on the first evening. Depending on the wind, weather and seaworthiness of the crew 😊 we then determine the route together.

 

DIVING

  • Do I or someone in my team need to be able to dive?

No, that is not necessary. We only work with experienced diving instructors.
You will start with them on a trial dive and then progress step by step.

  •  What health aspects do we need to pay particular attention to when it comes to diving?

Diving places an unusual strain on the body, as the pressure in the water increases with depth.
For this reason, it is important that you refrain from diving if you have certain health impairments.
If someone in your team has cardiovascular problems or asthma, we strongly recommend that you contact your doctor and request a Certificate of fitness to dive can be issued.
If you have general questions about your health, it is also advisable to consult your doctor to be on the safe side.

 

  • Where do we get the diving equipment?

You can get these at the dive centre. You therefore do not need any diving equipment in advance.

COACHING

  

  • When does coaching with Säil make sense?

Our coaching is not useful in every phase of team building.

    1. In the Orientation phase the team members get to know each other. They try to find out who their new colleagues are, what their interests are and whether they can work together. At this stage, the team does not yet feel like a team.
    2. In the Conflict phase conflicts often arise, both within the team and with other areas of the company. In this phase, status battles often take centre stage, while the actual task takes a back seat.
    3. In the Organisation phase the waters gradually calm down. The team members develop rules for dealing with each other.
    4. With the Integration phase the team enters the actual work and performance phase. Only in this phase does the team achieve better results than if the employees were working alone.

Coaching as a team-building measure therefore only makes sense in the Orientation phase and later in the Integration phase Sense.
