Why do you combine coaching with sailing
Coaching meets real-life experience.
For us, sailing is not an end in itself - but a space for experience.
When people get on board together, something special happens: it's not a title that counts, but togetherness. Wind and weather cannot be controlled - just like some challenges in life or in a team.
Sailing shows us how to deal with uncertainty, take responsibility and trust each other.
And that is precisely why we use this space: because knowledge is not only created in the mind, but in experience.
What do you mean by "coaching with depth"?
Don't scratch the surface - really take a look.
For us, coaching means more than a few good questions or tools.
It is about what lies beneath the surface: old patterns, inner drivers, unconscious values - but also potential that wants to be recognised.
We do not work with quick solutions, but with genuine reflection.
This can sometimes be uncomfortable - but always liberating. Because clarity doesn't come from advice, but from an honest encounter with yourself.
Why do you talk about "why" so often?
Because clarity begins when you understand what really drives you.
Because the "why" is the beginning of everything.
Many people and companies are well aware of this, what they do - and often do, like. But Why they do it?
This question changes everything.
It brings meaning into motion, it provides orientation in phases of upheaval, it connects people.
Those who know their "why" not only go further - they go more consciously. And that is exactly what we want to enable with our work.
What methods do you use?
Individually customised - never a cookie-cutter approach.
We work with sound coaching methods - but never according to a plan.
Because no two people, teams or companies are the same.
Sometimes we use DISG or the Reiss profile, other times it's about inner drivers, the iceberg model or the Walt Disney method.
But the decisive factor is not the method - but the effect.
That's why we only ever use what really makes sense for you. And leave room for what arises spontaneously. Because it's often precisely these moments that count.
Is that therapeutic or systemic?
We coach, not treat - with depth, but clear boundaries.
Our work is coaching - not a substitute for therapy.
But it goes deeper than many expect.
We work in a systemic, strength-orientated and reflective way - in other words, we look at connections, effects and opportunities.
We listen to what resonates between the lines. And create a space in which you can meet yourself honestly.
When therapeutic issues arise, we say so clearly - and help to find suitable positions.
Why do you use sailing metaphors?
Because they are intuitively understandable - and often go straight to the heart.
Because they express what we sometimes cannot put into words.
Sailing is full of symbols: Setting the course. Waiting for the wind. Changing direction. Letting go of the lines.
These images have an effect - not just in your head, but in your emotions.
They help us to see things more clearly. Because they are close to life. And because they invite you not just to think, but to understand.
What is the Ocean Effect?
A state of clarity, calm and confidence.
The Ocean Effect describes what you may recognise if you have ever been out at sea:
Suddenly it becomes quiet inside you. Thoughts organise themselves. You breathe more deeply.
And suddenly you realise what is really important.
For us, this is not magic, but impact: the space in which people open up. Where teams feel a real sense of togetherness. Where change begins - quietly, but powerfully.
We consciously create this space - even beyond the water.
Do I have to be able to sail?
No - you don't need any previous knowledge.
No, not at all.
With us, it's not about learning to sail - it's about experiencing it together.
You can take the helm, but you don't have to.
You can get involved, but you can also simply observe.
The important thing is that you are welcome just as you are.
And we make sure that you feel safe - on the boat, in the group and within yourself.
