Turtle rescue on Mallorca inspires new team event - Together for clean seas

During one of our last Sailing tours around Majorca and Cabrera we had an unforgettable experience that left a lasting impression on us. On the way to the next anchorage bay, we spotted something from afar that looked like a white Plastic bag with strings floating in the water. But as we got closer, we were shocked to realise that it was a turtle 🐢 that had become entangled in the plastic.

The entire crew was immediately called upon. It wasn't just about keeping an eye on the animal. Everyone took on an important role: one person kept an eye on the turtle, the boat was precisely aligned with the wind and the swell had to be closely monitored. At the same time, safety on board had to be ensured. Thanks to perfect teamwork, we managed to free the turtle safely - a powerful moment that made us realise once again how urgently the Protecting our oceans is.

This rescue inspired us to create our new team event: Together for clean seas - sailing tour and beach cleaning. On this sailing tour, teams not only experience the breathtaking nature of Majorca and Cabrerabut also take action to clear the beaches and coasts of rubbish. In doing so, we combine Teamwork and Environmental protection in a unique way.

During the sailing trip, the participants learn how important it is to coordinate as a team, whether during the Keep in sightwhen starting off correctly or when taking into account the Security measures on board. With the Beach cleaning it's about working together and actively contributing to the protection of our oceans.
